Vincent Cannistraro — is our CEO and Founder
After spending 23 years in his family’s Mechanical Contracting business, working on projects such as Gillette Stadium and Logan Airport, Vincent decided to take a different road. Inspired by a talk on Internet Safety, given by Katie LeClerc (see below), Vincent was challenged by the idea of developing a safe and secure social network site for tweens.
Interesting tidbit: Vincent makes delicious meatballs and sauce.
Mary Beth Beetel — In charge of NY, NJ, PA Sales
Mary Beth has three young children and is the Secretary of the PTA. In addition to competing in triathlons, she loves to travel.
Interesting tidbit: When she saw her husband for the first time, she knew she would marry him.
Caleb Brown — is part of our Web Design team
Caleb is an artist who lives and paints in Massachusetts with his wife and twin sons. His job is as an information problem – solver.
Interesting tidbit: Caleb car-pooled with a Massai warrior in Kenya
Kathy Clark — is the head of Sales and Marketing
Kathy is a former PTA President who is passionate about education and her three children. Her favorite way to spend a weekend is at the beach with her family.
Interesting tidbit: Kathy was a limousine chauffeur while attending law school.
Lindsay Clemens — is our Northeast Area Manager
Lindsay loves to work hard, volunteer often and do anything with her husband and two children. When not at work, Lindsay can be found painting, cooking & baking or working in the garden.
Interesting tidbit: Lindsay loves to sing with the sopranos in her local choir.
Jillian Darling — is in charge of Operations at What’s What
Jillian has an MS in Biology from Boston College and an MBA from Simmons College. She is very active in her local PTA and loves to ski with her daughter.
Interesting tidbit: Jillian and her daughter came in 2nd last winter in a Mother-Daughter Slalom Ski Race in New Hampshire.
Carolyn Dwyer — is our Moderation Supervisor
Carolyn has taught 3rd and 4th grades for 17 years. She is the mother of 3 young daughters and is passionate about fair play and kindness. Carolyn is active in many community-based groups, including her role as Girl Scout Troop Volunteer and PTA.
Interesting tidbit: Carolyn sings in an all woman a capella group called Broadband.
Katie LeClerc — focuses on Internet Safety, the What’s What Happening Page and Parent Resource Center
When not working at What’s What, Katie attends school; she holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and is currently working toward a Master’s in Digital Investigations.
Interesting tidbit: In 2008, Katie walked (and hung out on) the red carpet for the Hollywood movie premier of Max Payne, a movie featuring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. Katie’s best friend is her grandmother.
Danielle MacDonald — is a Web Designer at What’s What
Danielle is the proud mother of 2 beautiful daughters. When not designing beautiful web pages, she is playing competitively at something – most likely Scrabble with her husband.
Interesting tidbit: Danielle is a huge Boston Red Sox and got engaged when they won in 2004.
Chip Matthes — is our Technology Consultant
Chip has extensive experience in social networking site development and along with Rusty Williams, is a co-founder of Prospero, a social networking service. He is having a lot of fun developing a site that his tween-aged children can use.
Interesting tidbit: Chip completed the New England Trifecta – running the Boston Marathon, rowing in the Head of the Charles Regatta, and skiing Tuckerman’s Ravine in New Hampshire.
Rachel Rice — is in charge of User Experience
Rachel has specialized in translating vision into reality for the past eight years at Fidelity Investments, Upromise and now for What’s What. She holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and enjoys listening to her husband’s band with her family and friends.
Interesting tidbit: Rachel is a Reiki practitioner.
Lorraine Salvatore — is our Southeast Area Manager
Lorraine is the mother of three teenage sons and lives outside of Atlanta. She enjoys volunteering in her community and at her sons’ high school and has been active in the PTA, serving as Treasurer for several years.
Interesting tidbit: Lorraine likes to compete in triathlons and plays a mean game of tennis.
Michele Stewart — is our Mid-Atlantic Area Manager
Michele is a teacher and the mother of three sons who enjoys volunteering in her children’s schools in Virginia.
Interesting tidbit: Michele has run 6 marathons; 2 of them in Boston.
Exaltation of Larks — Program our What’s What site
Lee and Christefano are co-Founders of Exaltation of Larks, a development and design firm with offices in Boston and Los Angeles. Their website can be found at www exaltations.net .
Interesting tidbit: they are married to each other.
Beth Walsh — leads our Web Design team
After 15 years of web design at a large corporate financial company, Beth is having the time of her life designing for tweens. Beth realized her destiny as a designer when at the age of 2, she hand-colored the kitty wallpaper in her bedroom.
Interesting tidbit: Beth’s French bulldog understands her German as well as English
Rusty Williams — is our Product Manager
Rusty is the father of three teenage sons and along with Chip Matthes is a co-founder of Prospero Technologies, a social networking service used by large companies such as Fox, CBS, and ESPN. Rusty is very tuned in to the social networking scene for tweens
Interesting tidbit: Rusty plays drums in a rock band.
